Concept: A series of five mosaic mural designs for the central Five Points Station of the MARTA metro system. The installation was suspended in 2025.
“Drawing inspiration from the rich diversity of cultural backgrounds found at Five Point Station, my concept aims captures the essence of this vibrant convergence. My design seeks to highlight Atlanta's youthful spirit, native wildlife, civil rights movement, and local history.
The murals wil come alive through colors, organic shapes, and dynamic imagery, creating and atmosphere that is both vibrant and energetic.
By incorporating local symbols such as the MLK eternal flame or the mythological Phoenix bird, the artwork aims to reinforce a sense of local identity, while celebrating the city’s cultural diversity.
The mural reflects on our relationship with the environment in the context of living in huge urban centers.
By juxtaposing elements of nature with the metro station, interacting with the surrounding architecture, the artwork questions our connection to our natural setting. Simultaneously, it transmits brightness and joy, seeking to enligthen the daily routine of metro users and infuse their experience with a sense of delight.”
